About this Workshop
The Joint Education Workshop APTH-ISTH 2027 is an international educational initiative jointly organised by the Portuguese Association of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (APTH) and the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH).
Designed as a multidisciplinary scientific meeting, the workshop aims to promote education, scientific exchange and collaboration in the fields of thrombosis and haemostasis, bringing together clinicians, laboratory specialists, researchers and healthcare professionals from different countries and backgrounds.
Over three days, participants will explore current concepts, laboratory diagnosis, clinical management, bleeding and thrombotic disorders, patient blood management, women’s health, and emerging research topics through lectures, state-of-the-art sessions, practical discussions and interactive case-based learning.

About APTH
The Portuguese Association of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (APTH) is a scientific and educational society dedicated to the promotion of knowledge, research, education, and clinical excellence in the fields of thrombosis and haemostasis.
APTH brings together healthcare professionals from multiple specialities with a shared interest in coagulation, bleeding and thrombotic disorders and related laboratory and clinical areas. Through scientific meetings, educational programs, collaborative initiatives and public awareness activities, APTH actively contributes to the progression of education and patient care in Portugal.
APTH actively promotes scientific and educational activities through annual scientific meetings, educational workshops, courses, podcasts, and collaborative initiatives involving different medical specialities and healthcare professionals.
The association also includes dedicated working groups focused on several areas of thrombosis and haemostasis, including thrombotic and bleeding disorders and pediatric hemostasis, contributing to education, research and multidisciplinary scientific collaboration in Portugal.
About ISTH
The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) is a global scientific organisation dedicated to advancing the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of thrombotic and bleeding disorders.
Founded in 1969, ISTH brings together clinicians, researchers, laboratory scientists and healthcare professionals from around the world, promoting education, scientific collaboration, research and international networking in thrombosis and haemostasis.
Through congresses, educational activities, scientific guidance, and collaborative initiatives, ISTH plays a leading role in the global development of thrombosis and haemostasis research and clinical practice.
